Emergency health and wellness fund

Supporting organizations when they need it most.

UPDATE

As of February 21, 2024, we are pleased to announce that, through rapid-response grants of up to $25,000, the Emergency Health and Wellness Fund has supported 18 organizations with numerous community health and safety initiatives across central western Washington.

At this time, all funds have been fully allocated, and we are no longer accepting applications.

We extend our gratitude and appreciation to everyone that has applied for or used the funds to ensure the well-being of our communities.

In times of crisis, critical community services should never be in jeopardy. The Emergency Health and Wellness Fund can help ensure these services remain uninterrupted during unexpected challenges.

What is the Emergency Health and Wellness Fund?

The emergency health and wellness fund is a low barrier, rapid-response mechanism, offering up to $25,000 to support community health and safety services experiencing unforeseen emergencies or urgent needs.

Examples of this could include but are not limited to:

  • Refrigeration system breakdown: support for a local food bank facing a refrigeration system failure, ensuring uninterrupted food supply to the community.

  • Transportation services: support to expand transportation programs in the wake of a natural disaster.

Who can apply?

Organizations must be operating within central western Washington, which includes the geographic boundaries of Thurston, Mason, Lewis, Cowlitz, Pacific, Grays Harbor, and Wahkiakum counties and the sovereign nations of the Chehalis, Cowlitz, Nisqually, Quinault, Shoalwater Bay, Skokomish, and Squaxin Island Tribes.
