Suicide Prevention Initiatives
At CHOICE, our staff are engaged in active conversations with partners and stakeholders about important issues such as suicide prevention. CHOICE currently sponsors virtual suicide prevention training. In 2022, CHOICE staff are engaging with educational leaders to role out another initiative called Hope Squad.

Hope Squad is a complementary suicide prevention initiative that utilizes a peer-to-peer model within the educational system. Hope Squad training involves school counselors and/or other community resources working with students by empowering them with skills to help fellow students with suicidality issues. Our team is seeking partnerships in our region to role out this initiative.
